Dr Mahjoob graduated from vet school in Iran in 2009. She and her husband were practicing in a Pet Clinic in tehran for 5 years, during that time, she also worked with some Iranian animal shelters. She moved to Canada in 2014 to pursue her great passion in research. She entered a master program in Epidemiology at Universite de Montreal studying bovine mastitis. Shortly after, she sat Canadian licensing examinations  and  moved to Ottawa pursuing her other great passion, veterinary medicine. She restarted practicing vet med in Ottawa in 2021. Currently, she lives in Kanata with her family, i. e., her husband, her 7 year old son and their little rescue Chihuahua, Sunny. In her spare time, she enjoys biking, paddle boarding, and learning about wildlife with her son.
